Meet Karen Harkness, Assistant Principal of NCH Middle School:
“Advocating,” for others is and has always been my passion.
As a student, I recognized that everyone was not treated equally. Those who did not follow every class rule or who did not excel were not given the same opportunities of those who were considered model students. This was troubling to me because my peers were missing out on opportunities that could change their life trajectory.
Rectifying this injustice has been what has inspired me to serve in education for over twenty five years.
