While realizing the economic impact Covid-19 has brought to our families over the last five months, we also recognize many of our families fall through the cracks in qualifying for free lunch.
We are pleased to inform you this year NCH will be participating in the Community Eligibility Program, otherwise known as CEP. CEP allows all of our students regardless of family income to receive free lunches in addition to free breakfast.
We will also be providing other services to help feed our students during these unprecedented times. One being our Virtual Learner Meal Distribution Program.
This program operates on Mondays and allows families to pick up meal bags for the week for students in the Virtual Learning program.
Meal bags are packed with 5 breakfasts and 5 lunches complete with vegetable, fruit and milk components. Meals are pre-ordered the week before and are available for pick up from 8:00 AM-2:00 PM on Mondays at the High School cafeteria. We are also sending meals home with our blended learners as well.
Students are able to receive a meal bag at the end of the day to take home for the next day’s breakfast and lunch. Please encourage your children to pick up these meals on their way out of the school.
If you have any questions regarding either of these programs please reach out to our Food Service Director, Dottie Petry at [email protected].
