Roger and Linda Braunwart
They were inducted into the Hall of Fame because of their long term commitment to North College Hill Interscholastic Athletics. Together, they have served on many booster committees and worked many booster activities both at school and far away from school. They were both very active in the creation of the original North College Hill Hall of Fame. Roger also has been part of the crew that runs the downs markers at football games. Linda and Roger are both North College Hill Alumni.
Chuck Broadnax
Chuck graduated in 1986 after playing basketball for four years. He was selected All-City and All-League for three years and his senior year, he was selected First team All State, Player of the Year in the Southwest District and Western Metro Conference. Chuck had over 1000 points scored and 1000 rebounds in his basketball career. After graduation, Chuck attended George Mason University and played in the NCAA Tournament in 1989.
Gayle Slaughter Clyburn
Gayle participated in girls athletics prior to the girls sports being recognized as interscholastic sports by the Ohio High School Athletic Association. When Gayle participated, she played field hockey, volleyball, basketball and softball as part of the Girl's Athletic Association (GAA). GAA awards were given based on a point system and Gayle was the top GAA point earner her junior and senior years at NCH. She also was selected Field Hockey MVP her senior year and Rookie of the Year her 9th grade year. She served as President and Vice President of the GAA organization. Besides this, Gayle was also a member of the North College Hill Honor Society. After college Gayle returned to North College Hill as a Health and Physical Education teacher and has coached several sports for the Trojans.
Ulysses Coleman Jr.
Ulysses played football for the Trojans in the early 1960's and as a Trojan running back, he set the single season record for rushing yards at 1740. At the time of his induction into the Hall of Fame in 1996, this record still stood. Ulysses also average a school record 11.75 yards per carry. Ulysses also set the scoring record for the Trojans at 136 points in a season. During his senior year, Ulysses led the the city in rushing and was second in scoring. Ulysses was selected All League and All City. After high school, Ulysses worked for General Motors and as an North College Hill Alumni, he made sure his children attended North College Hill.
Steve Collier
Steve Collier was the Varsity Head Coach of the 1989 OHSAA State Runner-Up Division III Boys Basketball Team. He led the team to finish the 1988-89 season with a 25-2 record, which was the best in the history of North College Hill Boys Basketball at the time of Steve's induction. Steve served as the Varsity Head Coach for five seasons from 1984-1989 with a 90-31 overall record, which resulted in a 74% winning percentage. He earned three league championships in 1985, 1988, and 1989, three sectional championships in 1985, 1986, 1988, and 1989, two district championships in 1986 and 1989, and one regional championship in 1989. Additionally, Steve was honored as the Three-Time League Coach of the Year in 1985, 1988, and 1989 and was recognized as the Southwest District Coach of the Year. At the time of Steve's induction, he was a principal in the Norwood school system.Paul "Rick" Doxsey
Rick graduated from North College Hill in 1973. He played football, basketball and baseball four years for the Trojans. Rick's senior year, he was team captain of the football team and was selected All League and All City as a linebacker. Rick played in the Football East-West All Star Game. Rick set two defensive school records for the Trojans. He had 292 solo tackles in his career and a season high 141 tackles his senior year. At the time of his induction, Rick was a pipe fitter working in Cincinnati.
Gregg Hall
Gregg played football, basketball and baseball for four years earning a total of ten varsity awards. Gregg quarterbacked the 1976 & 1977 teams that went 8-2 both years. Gregg's total passing yards are 2045 on 135 completions. This made Gregg one of the top five all time offensive leaders in Trojan football history. Gregg received a football scholarship to Morehead University and graduated in 1983 with a degree in Environmental Science. At the time of his induction, Gregg was an Environmental Specialist with the Florida Power and Light Company.
Dave Harmon
Dave Harmon graduated in 1989 and was a multi-sport athlete, playing soccer, basketball, and baseball during his high school career. In basketball, Dave was a standout player, earning 1st Team All-League honors during his junior and senior years, as well as All-City recognition. During his senior year, Dave's team was the Division III State Runner-Up, and he was selected to the Division III All-Tournament State Team. He also played in the East-West All-Star Game during his senior year and scored a total of 1,240 career points. In soccer, Dave was a 1st Team All-League Goalie during his junior and senior years and also received All-City recognition. Finally, in baseball, Dave was named an All-City Pitcher during his sophomore year.
Denise McCarthy
Denise McCarthy graduated in 1991 and was a talented multi-sport athlete during her high school years. She played soccer for four years and earned 1st Team All-League honors each year. In basketball, Denise played for four years, earning 1st Team All-League recognition during her junior and senior years, and 2nd Team All-League during her sophomore year. She was also selected to the Cincinnati All-Star Team for Seniors. Additionally, Denise participated in track during her freshman and sophomore years. In softball, Denise played for four years and received 1st Team All-League recognition during her senior year. She also had the highest batting average on the team during her junior year.
Marchelle Ruff
Marchelle Ruff graduated in 1986 and is currently an Administrative Assistant. During her high school years, Marchelle was a talented multi-sport athlete. In volleyball, she played for four years, earning two varsity letters, serving as the senior captain, and receiving All-League recognition during her junior and senior years. Marchelle was also selected to play in the East-West All-Star Game during her senior year and played on the Junior Olympic Team. In basketball, Marchelle played for four years and was a standout player. She earned All-League recognition during her junior and senior years, All-District recognition, and was named 2nd Team All-State. Marchelle was also recognized as the Cincinnati Post Player of the Year and was selected to play on the International Sports Exchange Team, which traveled to China. She holds the record for the #1 All-Time scorer at NCH with 844 career points and the #1 All-Time rebounder at NCH with 1,074 career rebounds. Marchelle received a four-year scholarship to play basketball at Drake University. In addition, Marchelle played four years of softball and ran track her senior year.
